I recently landed a promotion at work, which prompted me to take a closer look at my finances. Funny how a raise made me realize I needed to buckle down on my spending. Here's a look at the first 2 days of August, before I decided to rein things in:
August 1
$16.70, Lyft to work
$15.81, super nachos for dinner
$3.75, snacks for boardgame night with friends
$10.66, Lyft home
$46.92, Total
$36.92 over budget
August 2
$16.91, Lyft to work
$7.27, breakfast sandwich
$14.00, Thai fried rice for lunch
$8, Riesling & pear donut, Matcha-dipped croissant (yes, very fancy pastries, but so good!)
$46.18, Total
$$36.18 over budget
$73.10 over budget o far :(. I've got some catch-up to do!
